The recent terrorist attack in New Zealand got me thinking
about something. It got me thinking how selectively we attach meaning to events
in this age of intersectationally and victimhood. Now I am no expert on
intersectionality but what I can gather is that it is a catch all word for
collective oppression even if oppression doesn’t exist. I would even go as far
to argue that no one even knows what the word intersectionality means. Why New Zealand? Well because it seems that
doing what some fundamentalist Islamic jihadis do to other Muslims is less of a
deal than a white evil criminal does. Why, because being a Muslim on the
rakings of victimhood is higher than being white, heterosexual and male.
After reading the professional social media troll job of the
73 plus pages manifesto of the main Christchurch shooter. I realized that he
was only interested in three things: hate, murder and trolling the mainstream
media. It was if he knew that key words like Donald Trump, PewDiePie, Anders
Behring Breivik and Candace Owens would peek the ire of a media that is willing
to do all it can to blame Donald Trump, conservatism and white men for all the
ills of society in the modern age of intersectionality and victimhood. True, he
referenced Nelson Mandela as well, but as expected, the former leader of the
terrorist military wing of the African National Congress in South Africa would
be ignored, because black and African ranks high in the top twenty-five of
victimhood as well.
It is as if the mainstream media ignore similar attacks and
atrocities because they do not feed into their narrative. There was no Western
media coverage of the Fulani jihadists who raided the Nigerian Christian
villages of Inkirimi, Dogonnoma, and Ungwan Gora in the Kajuru Local Government
Area this past week, burning more than 100 homes, wounding dozens and killing
52 people. In addition, there was barely a peep when Boko Haram killed over a hundred Christians in Northen Nigeria destroying as many if not more homes. Clearly
Islamic fundamentalist hate Christians in Nigeria, but you will die before you see any of this in the mainstream news. The same can be said of Islamic
jihadists in the mainly Christian eastern region of the Congo and CopticChristians in Egypt.
This is not even restricted to Christians but Shia Muslims
also. From Pakistan to Kabul attacks on Mosque demonstrate a similar level of
devastation as we saw in Christchurch. A recent attack in Kabul by a suicide
bomber resulted in the deaths of more than 50 people and wounding 94. I am not
saying this is reflective of Islam, since 95% of Muslims do not engage in
violence. But I am saying that Western media will intentionally ignore these
events to push the synthetic narrative, without objective data, that white supremacy
is on the rise and that it is due to American political discourse.
As a Black man, I want to make it clear I am not defending
white supremacy. Supremacy beliefs of any kind are not only foul but equally
incorrect and inaccurate. But I am defending math, and if you add up all the
deaths caused by white supremist attacking churches and mosque worldwide since
the election of President Trump and all the deaths caused by fundamentalist
jihadis attacking churches and mosque worldwide during the same period, one
would see that the former is a rarer occurrence than the latter.
Now back to this murderous bigot. Although he is being labeled as a right wing
white supremist, in his manifesto he clearly states the opposite. He wrote that he was not a conservative
stating “conservatism is corporatism in disguise, I want no part of it” and
that “The nation with the closest political and social values to my own is the
People’s Republic of China.” Clearly this is more left leaning socialist communism than Republicanis.
I consider this a classic troll job because he also makes
clear of his intention which was “to create conflict between the two ideologies
within the United States on the ownership of firearms to further the social,
cultural, political and racial divide within the United States. This conflict
over the 2nd amendment and the attempted removal of firearms rights will
ultimately result in a civil war that will eventually balkanize the US along
political, cultural and, most importantly, racial lines. This balkanization of
the US will not only result in the racial separation of the people within the
United States ensuring the future of the White race on the North American
continent, but also ensuring the death of the “melting pot” pipe dream.
Furthermore, this balkanization will also reduce the USA’s ability to project
power globally…”
Now back to the cult of victimhood and
intersectionality. This entire event has
been singularly displayed in terms of labeling one group the victim and the
other the oppressor. The victim in this case are peaceful Muslims and the oppressor a white Australian gun lover.
There is no attempt to blame the individual for this deed but rather
select groups of people, in this case Christians, whites, gun right supporters
and men. The first thing that came out of AOC mouth was to blame the NRA and
sincere Christians who offer prayers for the victims. This would never come out
of her mouth if Muslims, who frequently offer prayers for similiar scaled events in the West
because that goes against the I-code.
But this is the age we live in, an age in which intersectionality
for it to exist, requires a constant and concentrated focus on racial and
ethnic identity. Doing such only ends up
making all that ascribe to this dogma live with this dysfunctional mindset
based on daily persecution for immutable traits regardless of
circumstances. Therefore, we end up with
fake hate crime hoaxes as we recently saw with Jussie Smollett. Smollett
basically out of anger, blamed others by pointing fingers at a group of folks
out of the intersectionality rankings: white, homophobic, Trump supporters so
he could get others too feel sorry for him just to attract attention and avoid
personal responsibility for his situation. He may be the first person to make 5
to 6 figures a week, who is on TV, with songs playing on the airwaves to see
himself as a victim because he hates Trump, Trump supporters and didn’t in his
mind, get the pity party he wanted.
Sadly, he will not be the last and was not the first since
the election of President Trump. There was the Beloit College Muslim student who wrote anti-Muslim graffiti on his own dorm room door and the black member
of a church in Greenville, Mississippi, who set it on fire and spray painted
with the words “Vote Trump” on the building. There was also the 18-year-old
Drake University student who wrote racist notes to himself and the New York woman who told police she was driving home when four teens confronted her,
yelled “Trump 2016 telling her that she wasn’t welcome there. There was also
the waitress in Texas who blamed racist cops for an offensive note targeting
Mexicans and the Kansas State University student that reported graffiti left on
his car. “Go Home N***** Boy” and “Whites Only,” that turns out they both wrote
the notes themselves. Even Muslims have gotten in on the action. Right after
Trump’s victory, a Muslim woman in New York claimed to have been attacked by a
group of Donald Trump supporters on a New York subway. She too eventually
admitted that she contrived the entire event to get attention because she was
having problems with her father. These are only a handful of the many hate crime hoaxes since Trump was elected President, but they will never make the light of corporate media because they do not fit the prescribed storyline.
This is where we have come in 2019 America, where there is
more value placed on being a victim from a supposedly oppressed group than
taking personal responsibility. We have devolved into a social system this is
not only acceptable behavior but is also applauded and encouraged. As such
intersectionality has resulted into a victimhood Olympics of sociopathicbehavior where you wear your intersectionality victim medal around your neck
like the congressional medal of honor or the Purple Heart.
