If I may be frank, Joe Biden represents the worst attributes of progressive democrat ideology. The first is that of a corrupt beneficence that assumes we know better and what is best for all, for we are smarter than you and because we refuse to accept that you can think for yourself. Although condescending, the liberal class consider this hybrid political and philosophical comportment as an act of charity and equally a moral obligation. The second is inherent in their policies, which are buttressed on operating on the side of extreme ridiculousness, in many cases even if it requires the sacrificing of personal liberty. Last is the preference to virtue signal (“the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue.”) rather than address or tackle real tangible problems afflicting the citizenry of this great nation. I would be lacking if I failed too point out that according to Wikipedia, it is a “pejorative neologism for the conspicuous and disingenuous expression of moral values with the intent to enhance one's own image.” To be fair both are correct. Thus, democratic progressive philosophical and political ideology is condescending virtue signaling that purports no desire to provide or offer solutions to the problems of normal citizens, but rather beliefs that make themselves feel good and grow them wealth off of the backs of the lower and middle classes for individual rather than national purposes.
It is no
secret historically that no matter what they are called (progressives,
democrats, liberals, or socialist), this coterie has desired for decades to disrupt
the basic fabric of the United States of America. One could say it began December
20, 1860, when the state of South Carolina left the Union, right before the convening
of the 37th United States Congress. It continued with the election of America's
first progressive Democratic president, Woodrow Wilson in 1912. This is clear
if anyone has read the speeches of Wilson, or any of the books of history on
him, his presidency or the period (The Betrayal of The Negro: From Rutherford B. Hayes To Woodrow Wilson by Rayford W. Logan; 1912: Wilson, Roosevelt, Taft and Debs -The Election that Changed the Country by James Chace).
Woodrow
Wilson’s writings, speeches and policies make two things clear: he was a devout
racist and that he despised the freedoms and liberties advanced in the
Constitution of the United States. On the first level, it was extremely evident
he did not respect the 15th Amendment of the constitution therefore he
did all in his power from demanding segregation of the federal workforce to promoting the Ku Klux Klan. As the 28th president, he was the first southerner to be
president since Reconstruction and helped expunge advances African Americans
had made since Reconstruction with one of his first actions - segregating
federal government employees by race. Some historians assert that he only won because
Republican votes split between Taft and Roosevelt.
In this
tradition, it is not irrational to see why the foundation of such a political philosophy
can only be advanced via the expression of bigotry and divisive politics. It is
as if politics for progressive liberals is a religious cult that is grounded in
the contention that if one doesn’t have the same beliefs exactly as [I] have,
you are evil, sinful, irredeemable and utterly useless or unqualified to be an
American citizen worthy of mutual respect Likewise, the advance that what is
not approved of in the constitution, must be changed altered or removed completely
[abolish the electoral college or pack the Supreme Court]. They, as Wilson, are
eager to get rid of what Wilson described as an "obsolete" U.S.
Constitution. Wilson perspective on government remain the red blood cells of
progressive politics. From large government to taxing the wealthy and employing
race-based politics, these have been constant attributes of the democrat
platform.
The
objective is to obviate the American reality as it currently exists by
abrogating the concept of individualism, whether in thought, speech, innovativeness
or the expression individualism. The effort promoted by Wilson toward “social justice”
never ended. Bigotry, soft or hard remains the same. Rather if it is Wilson and
his penchant for racial segregation or Joe Biden and his penchant for mass
incarceration. All are rooted on what I presented in the first paragraph. When
you say Black Americans for example, don’t have the ability or knowledge to get
identification to vote, this is racial bigotry. When you feel you must speak
out for and on the behalf of Black Americans in a need to protect or speak for
us as we are your pet cats or dogs, this is racial bigotry. These and similar behaviors
project the sincere beliefs of the progressive liberal class – they see us [Black
Americans] as a helpless, mentally challenged class of people that do not have
the capacity to take care of ourselves and with no ability of
self-determination. This is the definition of overt racism.
Yes, Biden
is a continuation of this malevolent creed. Biden has been in office nearly a
half century, yet he has no history of policy to run on of importance and runs
away from the only policy record he has for reasons of political expediency.
There is his 1984 Comprehensive Control Act which he authored with StromThurmond, who in August of 1957, filibustered for more than 24 hours in an effort to stop the 1957 Civil Rights Act. The act expanded
federal drug trafficking and usage prison sentences, repealed the Bail Reform
Act of 1966 and introduced civil asset forfeiture. Not to be out done, two
years later Biden introduced and got passed the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986 (1986
Crime Bill). This bill had a provision in the law that treated crack cocaine as
significantly worse than powder cocaine. It mandated a minimum sentence of 5 years
without parole for possession of 5 grams of crack cocaine compared to 5 years
for possession of 500 grams of powder cocaine, which devastated and
disproportionately impacted Black America. Like the others, this bill had a disparate
impact on Black America. Data demonstrates that this law, “which increased the
disproportionate incarceration of Black males, also led to differences in
college enrollment rates” that resulted in “Black males [having] a 2.2%
decrease in the relative probability of college enrollment after” its passage.
Biden’s
most renown piece of legislation is up there with Wilson’s Revenue Act of 1913
(Underwood Tariff or the Underwood-Simmons Act – which created the IRS and progressive
income tax) and his Federal Reserve Act (both passed in a closed session early in
the morning December 23, 1913) which established the Federal Reserve Banking System
in the United States for the purpose of making money more elastic (create fiat
paper money). Biden’s Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 (1994
Omnibus Crime Bill/Biden Crime Law) was a humdinger. If convicted of conducting
a drive-by shooting or carjacking resulting in death, you were given the death penalty
automatically. It also reversed a section of the Higher Education Act of 1965
that allowed former prison inmates to receive a Pell Grant for higher education
while they were incarcerated. In addition, it authorized the death penalty for 60 new federal offenses, including certain drug offences not related to a
homicide. In the five years following its passage, 44 percent of inmates on
death row were black. These racial disparities in capital punishment still
exist. There is also the provisions that allocated mandatory life sentences for
individuals with three or more felony convictions and the allowance for prosecutors
to charge 13-year-old children as adults for certain crimes, resulting in more
than 65 percent of those sentenced to life in prison as juveniles being black.
The reality
is that progressive policies advanced by democrats have never been based on
justice and have been buttressed of the politics of racial division and bigotry
since the start of the 37th Congress. There is no true belief or genuine
interest in promoting policy that will benefit Black Americans nor America as a
whole. How can there be when white Antifa youth destroy and burn down Black and
other minority American owned businesses? How can it be, if the leader suggest
that one is not Black if they do not vote for him? Yes, this is how they see
the landscape. They have established a low bar for how they see Black America
because progressive liberalism is merely a racial pie topped with white whipped
creamed guilt. This is their Potemkin Village: it is them on their way to behead
Fyodor Shaklovity to motion the transfer of imperial, elitist, corporatist, plutocratic
power prior to arrival of the young Peter the Great. Biden as for now is Peter
the Great, but if he wins, he will eventually play the role of Fyodor
Shaklovity.
